There is an invasion in my beauty cupboard. The creatures from NARS have taken permanent residency in my house. And you know what, I’m totally okay with that. Read below to get the ENTIRE STORY!
When my mummy planned her trip to the US, I wasn’t envious and neither was I upset that she was going without me. I was excited – happy – jumping with joy that could shop for me. Yes, I am a freak like that.
If you’re a beauty product fanatic, you would know that NARS is cheaper in the US. I am not your everyday make-up freak, as you would have figured from this. I actually abide by the “natural” part of my “natural look”. My grandmother says my skin “has its own Indian glow”. Well, I’ll settle with that. Grandmothers are always right anyway.
But there have been times when I’ve longed for a good bronzer to give my skin that all-over warmth. I have a coral coloured cocktail dress that specifically demands a sheer glow on the cheekbones. So there, I gave in and landed in NARS territory.
NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder is perfect for my already-tanned skin tone. It has a very subtle shimmer that highlights my cheeks and the colour is just perfect for my skin.
Thanks to certain beauty bloggers (you know who you are), I was really tempted by the power of illuminators.
No, I’m not talking about fairy lights or fancy candles, I’m talking about illuminator fluid for the skin.
NARS Orgasm Illuminator gives a radiant glow with its gold, peach and pink shimmer and adds a soft shine to the face. It can be applied over/under make-up, or even mixed with foundation. Since, i’m not a foundation person, i’ll be using it in its own goodness.
After a long skype chat with my mummy and sending her a virtual version of NARS catalogue (yeah, my mamma is high-tech that way), voila!
